In the app: Settings → Community → Remove my data from Bobby Ho’s server. By email: privacy@bobbyho.app, subject “Data Deletion Request”. Bobby Ho has no accounts, so we can’t look data up by name or email; tell us what you can (device type, dates, cities). The in-app button is the reliable route. See also the Privacy Policy.
Turn off only (Settings → Community → Crowd spending stats): no further trip or expense copies are sent, but existing server copies remain with your device ID until removed by you or under the retention process.
Turn off and remove (same switch): stops further copying and removes identifying fields, amounts and trip budgets from server-side trip and expense records. Other fields remain without your device ID. Shared deals and purchase records aren’t affected. If the server doesn’t confirm removal, the app shows it as pending and retries.
Remove my data from Bobby Ho’s server (Settings → Community): removes identifying information tied to your device across Bobby Ho’s server records and turns Crowd spending stats off. It also blanks the item names, prices and any precise GPS location on your shared deals, and tries to move any photos you shared to the Google Drive trash. Reopen the app or use Restore Purchases to restore purchased access.
Some non-identifying fields remain without your device ID (for example an expense’s category, date and country, or a shared deal’s city, market and currency). After Turn off and remove, shared deals still carry your device ID. Share my purchases keeps its setting, so future deals may still be shared if it is on. Your trips and expenses on your device remain. Refund records may be kept for accounting.
Our data is in a Google Sheet, and Google may keep an edit history, so earlier values may still be retained. Google Drive applies its own rules to its trash. Google Analytics, Netlify, ExchangeRate-API, Make.com and Anthropic keep data under their own policies (Anthropic retains Ask Bobby messages under its own terms, including possible exceptions).
Server records associated with a device are automatically de-identified after about 18 months (540 days) without a new shared deal or trip or expense copy, including copies left by Turn off only. Devices that have only a device record or purchase record aren’t covered by this process; use Remove my data instead. On your device, trips and expenses that haven’t changed for about 18 months are deleted when the app opens.
Feedback is stored in a private Google Sheet and emailed to the developer, and the app can’t remove it. Email privacy@bobbyho.app to request its removal.
